Discovery Scuba Diving
Who should try this experience?
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
Course Requirement: No license or experience required
Course Duration: About 2 hours
Weekdays: RM150
Sat & Sun: RM200
Junior Open Water / Open Water Course
Sorte Met Stella Scuba Divers offers PADI open water certification. You’ll do five pool confined water and four open water dives at any of the Island within Malaysia (depending on number of pax and location) under the supervision of a certified PADI Dive Instructor.
Course Pre-requisites: Able to swim 200m, water-tread for 10 mins
Age Requirement: 10 years or older
Course Duration: 4 Days 3 Nights
Course Fees: RM1,150 (Excluding Accommodation Package)
Package includes:
- Full diving equipment rental (BCD, regulator, mask, fins, snorkel, wetsuit, weights, belt & scuba tank)
- Qualified PADI Diving instructor to conduct all classroom, confined water & open water sessions
- Course materials (Open water manual & dive recreation planner)
- Dive log book
- Certification & registration fees upon completion of course
Advanced Open Water Course
PADI’s Advanced Open Water Course introduces divers to a totally different kind of diving experience. Divers are required to complete five different Adventure dives while increasing your confidence and building your scuba skills so you can be more comfortable in the water.

Course Pre-requisites: Open Water Certification

Emergency First Responder
Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment.
All courses are supported by self-study manuals, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away.
EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors.
The following EFR courses are based on internationally recognised medical guidelines for emergency care.

Rescue Course
If you are interested to learn how to handle problems while diving, Rescue Course is what you need. At Sorte Met Stella Scuba Divers, our PADI Instructor will teach you on how to handle and manage problems both on land and underwater, as well as how to perform life saving techniques.
This is both a demanding and rewarding course and some of the skills learnt are self rescue, recognising and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers and rescuing unresponsive divers.
Students are required to complete 5 theory sessions, 1 Confined Water session.
Course Pre-requisites: Active Emergency First Responder, Advanced Open Water Certification
Age Requirement: 12 years old (Junior) or older

PADI Divemaster
Love scuba diving? Want to share it with others on a whole new level? Take the PADI Divemaster course and do what you love to do as a career. Scuba divers look up to divemasters because they are leaders who mentor and motivate others. As a divemaster, you not only get to dive a lot, but also experience the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do.
The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.
As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Divemasters are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world – PADI.
Course Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver & Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid)
Age Requirement: 18 years old

What will you learn?
The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. Your instructor may also offer the PADI Deep Diver and Search and Recovery Diver specialty diver courses along with your divemaster training to help you meet all requirements and to broaden your abilities.
